Brantford Kinsmen Ribfest
As the name suggests, the locally famed Brantford Kinsmen Ribfest is a family oriented summer event that takes place every year in August. This highly anticipated event takes place during the first weekend and is dominated by tasty mouthwatering ribs, spicy treats, a wide variety of drinks, live music and unlimited fun filled outdoor activities. The famous Cockshutt Park located at the banks of the stunning Grand River serves as the venue for this unforgettable event. This Ribfest is definitely a festival you don’t want to miss.
Brantford International Jazz Festival
This is a beautiful three-day event his featuring top-notch the artists from the jazz music industry. This event is set in such a way that the performances take place in several stages, giving you a free and undisrupted weekend of great music. If you are a huge music fan, this is the ultimate place to be. Foods vendors and other booths can be found in the area.
Being the largest winter carnival in the city and definitely one of the best in Ontario province; Frosty Fest takes place on Family Day weekend on a yearly basis and is held at the famous Harmony Square. This beautiful event which dominates the heart of Brantford features free admission and features horse-drawn trolley rides, professional ice-carvers, ball hockey, figure skating exhibits, an artisans’ bazaar, free skating and a snow slide among other things. There are additional Kids Zone games and pony rides for the little ones. The event is sponsored by both the City of Brantford and Freedom House and attracts hundreds of locals and tourists from all over Canada and beyond.
