Mississauga, ON is an upcoming tourist destination that currently attracts thousands of local and international tourists throughout the year. Mississauga is not only a modern city but also a historical community that is blessed to have a lakeshore which is among one the main outdoor activity areas. Apart from the museums and historical landmarks, the city of Mississauga is also home to a plethora of public parks which feature modern recreational facilities and scenic outdoor areas. Below are some of the top Mississauga-based parks:

Erindale Park

Located at 1695 Dundas St W, Erindale Park is picturesque 222-acre park featuring spacious playgrounds, well-maintained picnic areas, paved trails, grills for barbecuing, a toboggan hill and a great lookout section overlooking the old dam. Being Mississauga’s largest park, Erindale Park also features canoeing, fishing, kayaking, and panoramic of Credit River. Itís a bird watchers paradise with great hordes of birds living within the park. Some of the trails meander through the heavily-forested areas of the park and provides a close-up view of the park’s natural vegetation. These trails are ideal for jogging, hiking, running, and cycling.

Jack Darling Memorial Park

Located at 1180 Lakeshore Rd W, Jack Darling Memorial Park features spacious green spaces for picnics near Lake Ontario. There is also a dog park, a splash pad, and play areas. the breeze from the lake makes the park a very ideal destination for evening walks during the summer.

Lakefront Promenade Park

This park is located at 800 Lakefront Promenade which is pretty much on the lakeshore. The park features well-maintained trails, a splash pad, beach volleyball courts, a medium sized boardwalk, a marina, and several picnic areas. The park offers a great view of the lake and features ample parking spaces and contemporary kids play equipment.

Totoredaca Leash-Free Dog Park

If you like walking your dog regularly especially without a leash, head out to Totoredaca Leash-Free Dog Park at 2715 Meadowvale Boulevard. This park features an agility training section for dogs and your dog can play around with other dogs and have a share of the fun.
